This Holiday Season, Sign the Think of Me Pledge for Your OMGchildren

The holiday season means more time with friends and family and, of course, your OMGchildren. But before you drive your OMGkids around town, check out Cree and Scooter’s Think of Me Campaign.

Founded by Women’s National Basketball Association All Star Tammy Sutton-Brown, Cree and Scooter gives children exposure to various cultures, languages, traditions, and values to enhance their quality of life.

The Think of Me Campaign asks parents and OMGparents to promise not to text while driving to protect the children we love most. The promise is simple: “I pledge to NOT text and drive while my kids are in the car. By signing this pledge, I will stop putting my kid’s lives at risk.”

We had the opportunity to speak with Sutton about the Think of Me pledge:

My name: Tammy Sutton-Brown

My OMGchild’s Name: Morgan (the daughter of my friend)

Who are Cree and Scooter?
Cree is a 7-year-old African American girl, and Scooter is her toy chameleon who comes to life in her dreams. Together Cree and Scooter travel to countries on wonderful adventures. Cree and Scooter navigate their way through many countries across the globe while Cree dreams in her bed at night.

How long have you been running the Think of Me campaign?
The campaign launched on October 26, 2012. We had notable celebrities and athletes take the pledge and tweet to tell people to take the pledge.

We decided to start the Think of Me campaign…

Why is it important for OMGparents to sign the Think of Me Pledge?
It is important because we want parents to be mindful that they are putting not only their lives in danger, but the lives of their children when they text and drive.

How can OMGparents sign the Think of Me campaign?
They can sign the pledge just by heading to
